Madeleine “Mads” Richardson (they/them) is a queer, Brooklyn-based filmmaker from Asheville, NC. Their passion for diverse storytelling and LGBTQ+ representation paired with an expertise in both narrative and commercial filmmaking brings a unique perspective behind and in front of the lens. Most recently, Madeleine served as Production Designer on the feature film 'Whistle Down Wind' and is now a full time Post Producer for InStyle, Travel + Leisure, Health, Parents and more.

From 2017-2022, they founded and acted as Creative Director for Cat Fly Film Festival, the premiere film festival in Asheville, NC, showcasing emerging QTBIPOC filmmakers from the South and amplifying underrepresented voices with 50+ screening events and workshops.

Their ideal night includes a bad reality tv binge paired with a great movie, probably while eating steamed dumplings.
